Consolers International College also known as CIC Nimo is owned and managed by the Divine Consolation Missionaries. It was envisioned by Bro. Ezekwe Basil Nebolise who also founded the above missionaries. The school is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, Our Lady of Consolation who inspired the Proprietor to carry on the works of consolation to the downtrodden especially the abandoned, orphans sick people, prisoners, disabled, aged priests and lay, and mentally disordered.
The birth of CIC is a testimony. It experienced series of doubt, humiliation and persecution just as the early missionaries did from least expected sets of people. Notwithstanding those challenges, we strived towards establishing the school and finally stood up to open for the 2020/2021 academic session. We began with 39 students who enrolled into Jss1 and we took four students whom their parents cannot afford to pay for their tuition fees to benefit from our scholarship scheme.
The school started with Lady Ann Chinwe Obodoeze as the first principal, Ambassador Emmanuel Nonso Egwuchukwu, the first dean of studies, Master Patrick Tochukwu Ejide as the school bursar and other teachers CIC was established in October 12, 2020 following local government education curriculum and development in Nigeria. Six months after her opening, she lost her first amiable and dedicated principal Lady Ann Chinwe Obodoeze who departed this earthly dwelling on the 28th day of April 2021.
Consolers International College is a co-educational school located in Nimo, Anambra State. The school focuses on the promotion of moral ethical values and spirituality with the view of upbringing God fearing students and developing their inter personal and leadership skills. At CIC, we value all students for who they are and for what they can become. We aim to provide a rigorous and effective education in an enabling environment, and one which inculcates in students a desire to learn, contribute, while feeling safe and confident. Consolers International College came to serve and add value to the society.
The Logo of Consolers International College expresses it motto; Discipline, Creativity and spirituality. The Centre is the empty cross of resurrected Christ from which all life emanates. Through the cross, Jesus demonstrated boundless love. It also reminds us that no cross no crown. Beneath the cross is a book showing that true knowledge comes from cross.
Besides the book is a pen which shows the ability of CIC to do well in all her external exams. Under the empty cross and book is Our Lady of Consolation, through her all afflicted hearts are consoled.
Our Mission
Consolers aim to provide a broad and stimulating educational experience of the highest quality for all its student. Our belief is that school life should be valued for itself and not only as a preparation for adulthood. We aim for all our students to achieve very high standards in both the formal curriculum and in the many extra-curriculum activities that are offered. The school also aims at creating a conducive environment for effective study and introduce skill acquisition to the curriculum for a better society which will serve as an employment opportunities to the students.
